It may just be me – maybe my skills using the mouse pad or the over sensitive index finger mousy-thingy between GHB is bad – but why the hell is Cancelled positioned at bottom!? The result for me, when I accidentally double click, I stop the download…. jeez

I really must say that Firefox has always been slow to me when it comes to speed with WordPress. Chrome still has some speed potential, but it surpasses Firefox – running with Gears – by a mile!

I am guessing this has something to do with both the rendering engine, and the javascript engine. Nevertheless – Chromium is becoming my main browser!

Finally – the Adblock extension designed to remove advertisement has finally reached a development level worth saluting! Kudos to the developer.

“We’re also going to begin phasing out our support, starting with Google Docs and Google Sites on March 1st. So while you’ll still be able to access these Google applications, newer features may not be available and some features may even stop working.”

This I really don’t like! What happened to the choice of each individual? I really hope the idea is that a standard is being followed – and not some strange “IE-only” feature behaviour that’s being introduced to Chrome.

The fact that extensions exists for having IE in a Firefox tab, proves that webpages may be made browser specific. Albeit, this has happened before, I did not expect it from Google!

Google has gone beta with their extensions page today. And I must say that the number of extensions already available is already quite high, though the number of quality “by Google” extensions are relatively low. Albeit, I expect this to change!

Extensions has already been available for those willing to use the latest developer build, but the official extensions page was just opened up today.

Thumbs up from me!

Exciting times we are living in! A new browser on the horizon! I believe we are a close to a new web-revolution!

Imagine a computer – only running a browser – the OS is the browser! How the Google Chrome is built up has clear analogies with how an OS is built up. I am really looking forward to testing it in Linux. I am fantasizing about a distro only allowing a web-browser to run – which in turn is fully equivalent to a modern OS. Every appz you might need in your day-to-day use may very well be run within a browser today. But I believe the speed and security have had some restrictions on how this is run locally on your computer. If Google Chrome delievers half of the expectations I have – it will certainly change my day!

Godspeed Chrome!
